Volunteer at St. Peter’s Del Mar

Find a Place to Make a Difference

You have something to offer.

Maybe you have an hour. Maybe you have a particular skill. Maybe you simply want to meet people, help your neighbors, or feel more connected to your community.

At St. Peter’s, volunteering is one of the easiest ways to turn compassion into action—and there are opportunities for almost every age, schedule, and comfort level.

Come as you are.

Start where you are.

There’s More Than One Way to Help

You don’t have to know exactly where you fit yet. Start with what sounds like you.

Help Our Neighbors

Put compassion into action through ministries serving people throughout San Diego County and beyond.

Helping Hands
Help provide hot breakfasts, bag lunches, clothing, hygiene supplies, and a welcoming presence to neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Showers of Blessing
Support a ministry offering showers, clean clothing, haircuts, laundry services, and other essentials to people experiencing homelessness.

Community Outreach Projects
Join seasonal drives, service days, school supply collections, ministry partnerships, and other hands-on opportunities throughout the year.

Help on Sundays

Some of the most important volunteer roles happen right here each weekend.

Welcome people at the door. Read during worship. Help with Communion. Sing. Assist with children. Prepare the altar. Host coffee hour.

Whether you like being up front or working quietly behind the scenes, there’s a role for you.

Opportunities include:

Help Children & Youth Grow

You don’t need to have all the answers to make a difference in a young person’s life.

Adults and teens can help with Sunday School, youth activities, special events, family programs, and other opportunities that help young people know they are loved, valued, and part of the church.

Share What You’re Good At

Sometimes volunteering starts with a skill you already have.

Love gardening? Photography? Cooking? Organizing? Technology? Decorating? Fixing things? Planning events?

St. Peter’s regularly needs people willing to share their talents—both for ongoing ministries and one-time projects.

Tell us what you love to do, and we’ll help you find a way to use it.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s completely fine.

You don’t have to choose a ministry before reaching out. Tell us a little about yourself, how much time you have, and what kinds of things you enjoy.

We’ll help you find an opportunity that feels right.

You Don’t Have to Be a Member

Many people first become part of the St. Peter’s community by volunteering.

You don’t need to know Episcopal traditions. You don’t need to have everything figured out. And you don’t need to make a huge commitment.

You just need a willingness to show up.

Sometimes one small “yes” is how community begins.

Ready to Get Involved?

Tell us what interests you, and someone from St. Peter’s will help connect you with the right opportunity.

Do Good. Meet People. Belong.

Serving others changes more than the world around us. It changes us, too.

At St. Peter’s, volunteering can help you meet new people, discover a sense of purpose, deepen your faith, and become part of something bigger than yourself.

There’s a place for you here.
