Joseph has been a member of St. Peter’s since he moved to San Diego in 2022 and had the privilege and pleasure to serve on the Vestry. He is also a regular Eucharistic Minister at the 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., and is a Eucharistic Visitor and substitute Sunday School teacher. He is licensed through the diocese as a as a Lay Evangelist, Eucharistic Visitor, and Catechist. He taught an Adult Confirmation course last spring and is now a Youth Group teacher, helping prepare youth for confirmation. He is also on the Endowment Committee, served as a delegate to Diocesan Convention in 2025, and is an alternate deputee for General Convention in 2027. He is passionate about the future of The Episcopal Church, especially in reaching young people who are unchurched or under churched. Joseph is married to the Rev. Madeline Polhill.
