Vestry - Class of 2028

My name is Jim Silva and I grew up in Monterey, California, attended All Saints Episcopal Day School, and was an altar boy at St. James Episcopal Church in Monterey. After many years away from the church my wife helped me find my way back when we joined St. Peter’s. I am about to begin my second year in EFM.

I am a retired middle school special education teacher. In retirement I spend my time pursuing many hobbies including running a workout group, learning French, becoming a better cook, growing weird tomatoes, and building family trees. The genealogy work had me looking through centuries of old church records in Portuguese and French and was a small part in bringing me back to the church.
