Our Vision
St. Peter’s dares to be an open embracing community; discovering, and celebrating, sharing the Love of Christ.

Our Values
       Joyfully Christ-Centered…
We value growth on our spiritual journey as members of the Body of Christ.
We value our Anglican heritage as an authentic, evolving tradition.
       We value loving, compassionate service.
We value gratitude and generosity as stewards of all God’s gifts.
We value everyone and welcome all to find a place to belong in the worship, fellowship and ministry of this parish.

Our Mission
St. Peter’s invites you to a spiritual journey; to love God and your neighbors near and far; to worship, pray and serve joyfully in community; to strive to become more Christ-like in living out the promises of our baptism...that all may know Christ’s healing love.

St. Peter's is a vibrant community, made up of children, women and men from many different walks of life, all seeking a deeper relationship with God, through worship, formation, and service. Most, but not all of us, experience their relationship with God as followers of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said the first commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and so at St. Peter's you will find wecome for all of yourself: your heart, and your mind, as your soul seeks intimate relationship with God, what we call "deepening discipleship." (A disciple is a student, and many of us seek to deepen our relationship with God by being students, disciples, of Jesus.)

At St. Peter's there is a place for everyone: the intellectual, the artist (the intellectual artist...), the introvert and the extrovert, retired and active duty military and the 21st century incarnation of flower children, singles and families, and newly-re-singled finding a new life in community.  We represent the full spectrum of theological and political perspectives, sometimes disagreeing with one another about ideas that are important to us-- while trusting our love for one another is what is really important, and finding our unity in Spirit as we pray and worship and serve together.

Our programs and ministries include the contemplative and the active. Our worship services run the spectrum of the quiet and simple to vibrant and celebratory, traditional and formal to groovin' to a reggae beat.  We wish to continue the work of Jesus in the world, and so "Martha" and "Mary" (read the Bible story here) both have a place at St. Peter's: We love to pray and study, and we love to serve in Jesus' name. Our parish life includes programing and ministries for all ages, from the youngest toddlers and infants, through teens and into young adulthood, and empty-nesters and seniors will find ministries to engage them as they discern how they will live faithfully in these new times in their lives.

We hope this website will help you explore our community, and we hope you will be in touch with any questions or wonderings.

Again, welcome!
