Bob Nelson was ordained Deacon in 2001 after a 37-year career in city government in California where her served as City Manager, Public Works Director, or Water District Manager for five cities and four special districts. For the past 4-years he has served the Bishop, clergy and lay leadership of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego in their relationships with local government; in facilities planning, construction, and maintenance; and in training lay Eucharistic Ministers, Eucharistic Visitors, and Worship Leaders. Bob served on the staff of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, San Diego, for 3-years and is currently serving St. Peter's, Del Mar, where he assists in the pastoral care and mission/outreach ministries. Bob is a graduate of UCLA in business education, attended USC in public administration, and received his deaconate training at the Episcopal Theological School at Claremont. Bob is married to Suzanne Foucault and they have two adult daughters, Annie and Kit.  Bob's interests include body surfing, skiing, and supporting his family in their activities.
