Anne-Marie Dicce, Assistant Administrator
Anne-Marie Dicce is the Assistant Administrator at St.Peter's, and is the "communications hub" of the church. She's also the voice of St. Peter's when you call the office. Besides making and priniting your weekly bulletins and ebalsts, she also creates your monthly Spirit and Times Newsletter, creates and sends church mailings, among many other office-related duties.
Also an accomplished soprano specializing in
early music, she is equally at home with contemporary music, and enjoys
premiering works written by her colleagues. Anne-Marie has performed in a
variety of festivals and ensembles including the Bach Collegium San
Diego, Festival Ensemble Stuttgart, Festival Internacional del Organo
Barroco (Mexico City), IRCAM Festival in Paris, Los Angeles Philharmonic
Green Umbrella Series and the La Jolla Symphony Chorus. She is a
soprano soloist/staff singer at St. James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla.
Anne-Marie frequently collaborates on Baroque repertoire
with Ruben Valenzuela, Music Director of the Bach Collegium San Diego,
conductor and keyboardist (and also Anne-Marie's fiancée!). She has recorded numerous projects,
including the six Motets by J.S. Bach with the Bach Collegium on the
RMAP label, a CD of music by Pultizer-prize winning composer Roger
Reynolds, and a CD on the Tzadik label with works by Derek Keller.
Anne-Marie recently received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University
of California, San Diego. Anne-Marie teaches private voice
students in San Diego and serves on the Board of Directors of both the
National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) San Diego Chapter and
the Bach Collegium San Diego. Her doctoral dissertation included
research in synesthesia and the connection between early and contemporary vocal music techniques. More information can be found at www.annemariedicce.com.
