CREATE YOUR TEXT IN NOTEPAD (do not use Word)
Using notepad create your content.
LOGIN
Go to www.constantcontact.com and login. The login is located in the upper right hand corner.
DUPLICATE PREVIOUS NEWSLETTER
Once you have logged in you will see a page listing your most recent emails. You will need to duplicate the most recent one. To do this press the COPY button next to the email NAME. Give the email a new name and press NEXT. Next you will confirm that all the message info is correct, once you have confirmed press NEXT. You will now be able to edit your newsletter
CHANGE DATE
One of the first things you should always do is change the date.
PASTE IN NEW TEXT
Choose the area of your newsletter you would like to edit and press EDIT, you will now be able to paste your text into the area.
FORMAT AS NEEDED
Now that you have your text pasted in, you may format it as needed using the panel called GLOBAL COLORS & FONTS on the left side(if you can't see the panel click the text that says GLOBAL COLORS & FONTS). It is best to keep the formatting as simple as possible.
SAVE AND PREVIEW
Once you have all your text pasted in and formatted you should go ahead and save. Above the email you are editing you should see some buttons that say PREVIOUS, SAVE, and SAVE AND CONTINUE. Press SAVE.
To preview press the PREVIEW button on the upper left side. This will show you what your newsletter will look like as an email.
SEND TEST
While in PREVIEW mode you can send a test draft to confirm the newsletter looks how it should in an email. To send a test email enter the email address you want to send it to into the Email Address(es) box and press send. This will send a draft to the email address entered.
SEND ACTUAL
Once you have confirmed your newsletter is ready you can schedule a delivery time.
If you are still in EDIT mode press the button that says SAVE & CONTINUE or FINISH. This will take you to the schedule page.
If you have just logged in go to MY EMAILS located under the EMAILS tab and click the name of the newsletter you are sending out. This will take you to the schedule page.
Once on the schedule page click the link that says SELECT LISTS, on this page you will choose a list to send your newsletter to. Choose a list and press SAVE. Once back to the schedule page find the link that says SCHEDULE EMAIL. To send now select SEND NOW, to choose a later date choose SCHEDULED FOR and select your date and time. Once you have selected your time SAVE. Your newsletter will now be sent at the scheduled time.
