Membership Classes
Spring 2012 Membership Classes
Preparation for Adult Baptism, Confirmation and Reception into The Episcopal Church
We are often asked “I want to become a member of St. Peter’s and/or The Episcopal Church. What do I need to do?”
Others have said, “It’s time for me to be Confirmed...”
Our first response is, that’s great! Welcome to St. Peter’s! We are so delighted to have you as part of our parish community. And the simple answer regarding basic membership is, “Come to church, be involved in our ministries (there are many varieties, so you're bound to find at least one that suits your gifts and interests) and make a commitment to give your time, talent and treasure to the mission and ministry of St. Peter’s.”
Official “voting membership” and official membership in The Episcopal Church (See the January 2012 Spirit and Times,
at p. 8, on the Resources section of this website) includes, baptism, if you are not already baptized, or
confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church.
If you are already baptized or confirmed in another Episcopal Church, let us know which parish to write so we can request your letters of membership be sent to us.
If Baptism, Confirmation or Reception are for you, then great news! Our Spring Membership Classes are in full swing, and are comprised of Episcopal 101 and I Will With God’s Help to be held Sunday mornings at 10 am during Eastertide. If you have missed any of the lectures, you can listen to them on SermonPlayer (see list at the right).
