Helping Hands
Helping Hands Ministry"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…What you did for the least of these brothers of mine you did for me." Mathew 25: 35-36, 40.
Helping Hands is an on-campus ministry designed to provide sack lunches, clothing, hygiene products, and fellowship to the local homeless members of our community.
Mission Statement: We strive to seek and serve Christ in all people, to be Christ to them, and treat them as Christ would. Our goal is to assist and encourage all people to achieve self- sufficiency.
Helping Hands is open from 9:00am to 1:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, rain or shine. We are closed on major holidays and at other times when the church office is closed. On average, we serve between 10 and 15 people per day.
If you are interested in volunteering for this ministry, please contact Fran Friesen, the Helping Hands lay ministry coordinator, or Father Joe Dirbas to volunteer time or to make donations to the program.
