ANNOUNCEMENTS

REMINDER----WE’RE A NO PUSH-PIN CAMPUS!  Just a gentle reminder that we do not use push-pins anywhere on our campus, due to safety issues with our small children. If you have questions about securing items on bulletin boards, please call the front office.

SUPPER CLUB 2014-15 IS COMING!  Sign up on the patio to join 8 -10 fellow parishioners for a year of fellowship and good eats. The goal is to get to know others at St. Peter’s with whom you may not have had a chance to spend time. Usually, groups decide to rotate hosting a potluck supper among homes. Supper club is open to all adult singles and couples. We hope that parents of younger children will find time to join. You may also sign up on the substitute list if you’d like to be included, but cannot commit to a group. For more information or to sign up, email Karin Riggs, Supper Club chair, at karin.riggs@yahoo.com.

EPISCOPAL WEEKLY BULLETIN INSERTS:  These weekly bulletin inserts provide information about the history, music, liturgy, mission, and ministry of The Episcopal Church and can be found at http://episcopaldigitalnetwork.com/stw/bulletin-inserts/.

Leaving for college can be an adventure, but for many young people, it can also mean leaving behind the spiritual support networks they built at home. The Rev. Mike Angell, the Episcopal Church’s Missioner for Young Adult and Campus Ministries states, “College is an incredibly important time for young adults, a time of deep formation, a time for making decisions that will shape their identities. The Christian tradition helps us to see that it is good to face big decisions and big changes with a community of support behind us. Finding a faith community can help a college student navigate the big questions.”  The Episcopal Church offers campus ministries on nearly 200 college campuses across the United States. For a map and listing of Episcopal campus ministries, visit the website above and view the full article. For more information about Episcopal Campus Ministries, contact the Rev. Mike Angell, mangell@episcopalchurch.org or visit http://www.episcopalchurch.org/page/young-adultcampus-ministries.

Volunteer Opportunities at Thrift Shop

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENAGERS THIS SUMMER AT ST. PETER’S THRIFT SHOP:  St. Peter’s Thrift Shop is looking for reliable teenagers to volunteer a minimum of two hour shifts during the summer months. We realize many of our teens are very busy with sports and academics during the school year and summer is a terrific time to get those pesky service hours out of the way. There are a wide variety of tasks, including tagging clothing items, straightening shelves, helping transport items in/out of the shop or to customers’ cars. For additional information or to sign up, contact Chris Miller, Shop Manager, at 858-481-1945 or on her cell at 760-445-9445.
